Hughes named TCCC Defensive Player of the Week
New England College women’s soccer goalie Kerry Hughes (Wallkill, N.Y.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Defensive Player of the Week for her performance throughout the week of Sept. 14 – Sept. 20.
Hughes recorded two shutouts in net for the
Pilgrims this week. Hughes was huge in
NEC’s conference tie with rival Colby-Sawyer finishing the game with nine
saves. She also recorded a save in NEC’s 1-0 win over Green Mountain earlier in
the week. Hughes has recorded 15
shutouts in her career making her the all-time leader at NEC in career
shutouts.
