Jaziri Named TCCC 2nd Team All-Conference
New England College men’s basketball player Ryan Jaziri (Norwich, Conn.) was named 2nd Team All Commonwealth Coast Conference for his performance throughout the 2007-08 season.
Senior guard Jaziri led the Pilgrims in almost every offensive statistics including points per game averaging 24.3 and assists finishing with 54. Jaziri was twice named TCCC Player of the Week this season including the third week of the season when Jaziri helped lead the Pilgrims to two victories and tied the school record for most points in a single-game finishing with 46 in a win over Lyndon. Jaziri finished his senior season with a total of 607 points and became the all-time leading scorer in Pilgrim history finishing with career total of 1861 points.
Jaziri finished the season ranked first in the TCCC in scoring and ranked fifth in foul shooting finishing the season shooting 82% from the foul line. Jaziri also finished the season ranked among the top ten in the conference in three point shooting and minutes played.
