Three New England College men’s ice hockey players have been named to the 2008 New England Hockey Writers Association ECAC East/NESCAC All-Star Team.


Sophomore forward Mark Ehl (N. Vancouver, B.C.) was named to the New England Writers All-Star Team.  Ehl led the Pilgrims in scoring finishing the season with 41 points including a team-high 23 goals and 18 assists.  Ehl finished the season ranked first in the ECAC East in power-play points per game averaging .58 points per game and power-play goals per game finishing the season with 12 power-play goals.  Ehl also finished the season ranked sixth in the ECAC East in scoring averaging 1.26 points per game and second overall in goals scoring .84 goals per game.

 

Joining Ehl is sophomore defenseman Trevor Turner.  Turner (Westbank, B.C.) led the Pilgrims with 23 assists this season and finished second in the conference in defensemen scoring with .79 points per game. Also, picking up the honor was senior forward Brian Pouliot (Hooksett, N.H.)  Pouliot finished the season second on the team in scoring with 38 points including 18 goals and 20 assists.  Pouliot was tied for the team lead with three game-winners this season and ranked seventh in the ECAC East in scoring averaging 1.17 points per game.
