Men's Ice Hockey picked fourth in preseason poll
New England College men’s ice hockey has been picked fourth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Pilgrims finished a close fourth receiving 69 points as Castleton State grabbed the third spot with 73 points and Babson College claimed the second spot receiving 85 points. Grabbing the top spot in the poll was ECAC East defending champions Norwich University who received eight of the ten first place votes.
The Pilgrims ended their 2007-08 campaign last season falling to Salem State College in the ECAC East Semifinals and finished with an overall record of 16-8-3 and 10-6-3 in the ECAC East. The Pilgrims open up their season on Friday, Nov. 21 when they host ECAC East opponent Castleton State College at 7:00 p.m.
