Men's Soccer grabs home field for TCCC Quarterfinal
New England College men’s soccer has claimed the #4 seed heading into the TCCC Playoffs Saturday. The Pilgrims will host the #5 seeded Salve Regina Seahawks on the campus of New England College in opening round action on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1:00 p.m.
Back on Sept. 13 the Pilgrims edged the Seahawks 2-0 in their regular season match-up in Newport. NEC finished the regular season with an overall record of 10-5-3 and a conference record of 8-3-2. Salve Regina finished their regular season with an overall record of 9-7-2 and a conference record of 7-4-2.
The winner of Saturday’s match-up will advance to the semifinals and will face the winner of Saturday’s #8 Colby-Sawyer College and #1 Western New England College game on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the highest remaining seed.
