NEC Field Hockey captured their seventh straight TCCC Championship defeating Endicott College 1-0 Saturday.
NEC to battle #7 Lebanon Valley in NCAA Tournament
The New England College field hockey team has received a berth into the 24-team NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament and will travel to face #7 ranked Lebanon Valley College in a first round game on Wednesday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m.
The Pilgrims enter the tournament 17-4 overall and received the automatic qualifier by winning The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship over Endicott College 1-0 Saturday afternoon. Lebanon Valley College is currently ranked seventh in the nation with an overall record of 18-3 and received an at-large bid after falling to #1 Messiah 2-1 in the Commonwealth Conference Championship.
New England College and Lebanon Valley have met up before in NCAA Tournament action back in 2006 when the Pilgrims fell 1-4 in the NCAA Regional Semifinal. Live stats for the game will be available through Lebanon Valley at http://www.lvc.edu/athletics/fhlive/xlive.htm.
