New England College offers an MBA in Healthcare Management, both classroom, online and hybrid delivery, in both Maine and New Hampshire.
Immediate openings are available in Healthcare Informatics. This course introduces the history and current status of information systems in health care, and introduces students to the study of information technology and information management concepts relevant to the delivery of high quality and cost-effective healthcare. Theoretical frameworks such as data management, decision support, strategic planning and implementation, change management, knowledge management and privacy and other ethical aspects of health informatics are included.
Other courses available include: Healthcare Marketing, Project Management and Quality and Lean.
Each course will run for an intensive seven-week term, and faculty are expected to:
• Engage all students to facilitate and achieve course learning outcomes;
• Interact with students in all discussion boards, guiding the discussion toward the course outcomes;
• Review and grade all work submitted by students and provide timely and substantive feedback
• Coach struggling students toward success;
• Submit final course grades.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree related to the subject area being taught is required and a recognized certification in the discipline is preferred. Preference will be given to those candidates who have a proven record of teaching effectiveness and professional experience in their respective fields. Online teaching experience is desired.
