Casie Runksmeier is a second-year Pathways Mentor. Before coming to NEC she worked at and attended the University of Southern Maine. Casie held several jobs on campus including: Program Manager, Intern in Intramurals, Assistant Softball Coach and Graduate Assistant in The Well. As a graduate of the Adult and Higher Education, Master of Science, program she was luckily able to integrate her classroom work into her time at USM. Previous to pursuing her Master’s Casie worked in the sports industry; she was the Director of Facilities Operations at the Portland Sports Complex in Portland, ME for two years and the Director of Softball Development at Frozen Ropes Baseball/Softball Training Center for two years. Upon leaving high school in Minnesota, Casie decided to head to the west coast and attended Lewis & Clark College. In those four years she majored in Psychology, minored in Gender Studies and played varsity softball. Casie does know the hallways at NEC as she took one semester of classes here, a time she enjoyed immensely.
