Laura is a 1990 graduate of the Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester, Massachusetts where she received a diploma in nursing. In 2001, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire and was listed in the 2001-2002 edition of The National Dean’s List. Laura graduated with honors from Rivier College in 2008 with a Master’s degree in Nursing. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In 2009, Laura had the distinct honor of presenting on Alzheimer’s disease at the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner’s National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as at the Northeast Regional Nurse Practitioner Conference held in New Hampshire in May 2010. Over her many years of nursing experience, she has practiced in a variety of settings including medical-surgical nursing, operating room, quality assurance, wound healing and hyperbaric medicine. As a nurse practitioner, she has practiced in family care settings, including her own practice in Concord, New Hampshire. She is excited to be working at New England College and looks forward to helping the students maintain health and wellness while away from home.
Laura lives in Dunbarton with her husband and their two children. She enjoys skiing with her family and is a member of the Pat’s Peak Ski Patrol. In addition, they enjoy snowshoeing, bicycling, hiking, camping and boating as well as time with their Labrador Retriever and Great Dane. Laura is also a volunteer for Honor Flight New England, an organization dedicated to flying our World War II heroes to Washington, DC to see their monument.
