NEC in the News: My Turn: Within These Divisive Events, There Is Hope
The Concord Monitor featured NEC’s President Michele Perkins comments on recent events in Charlottesville and suggests what we saw on display was an emboldened, outspoken collection of groups whose racism, sexism, homophobia and bigotry are in direct contradiction to what it means to be an American. That there were lives lost because of these events compounds the tragedy. I strongly believe leaders from business, government and education have a responsibility to speak out in opposition to such egregious actions. Read the article.
