New England College Names Whitelaw to Board of Trustees

Mar 07, 2011

President Michele D. Perkins announces the appointment of TJ Whitelaw to the College’s Board of Trustees. Whitelaw, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the NEC Class of 1976, is a resident of Concord, New Hampshire, and has held senior-level positions in the field of information technology for over 30 years.

Whitelaw held a series of management positions at industry leaders Digital Equipment, Compaq, and Hewlett Packard for more than 27 years. In 2005 he joined Riverbed Technology in what was, at the time, the most successful startup company in Wall Street history. He is currently an independent consultant with expertise in sales management, partner development, and channels and operations management for a variety of high tech product lines and businesses including high performance servers, storage, industry standard servers, personal systems, and network optimization technologies.

While at NEC, Whitelaw served as a resident advisor and senior head resident. He has participated in numerous alumni programs and events and has volunteered as co-chair of the College’s annual Golf Classic for many years. In addition to his bachelor’s degree from New England College, Whitelaw earned his MBA from Northeastern University in 1986. He enjoys skiing, photography, and golf.

“TJ brings valuable expertise in the fields of business and information technology to the Board of Trustees,” states Michele D. Perkins, President of New England College. “He is a successful and dedicated alumnus and will be a great role model for the entire NEC community.”
