Watch & Vote: NEC's Megan Lyman Competes for Miss America
NEC's Megan Lyman, Miss New Hampshire
Megan Lyman, New England College anticipated class of 2013 became Miss New Hampshire in April and will compete for the title of Miss America this week. Watch her on ABC Channel 5 from Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 12 at 9 p.m.
Votes for Megan to be America’s choice for the 2013 Miss America competition can be cast by visiting the Miss America Organization website or the Video Contest Facebook page.
The individual who receives the highest amount of votes will be chosen to participate as finalists in the competition. Votes are being accepted through January 10.
Megan is a junior at New England College and is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education. Her plan is to obtain a masters degree in special education and ultimately become an administrator in the education field. Professors at NEC describe her as a very dedicated, intelligent, and positive young woman.
If Megan is successful at this Saturday’s competition she will be the first person from New Hampshire to earn the title of Miss America.
