Kevin Pontuti is a film maker/ artist/ educator who received his MFA from Syracuse University, whose teaching and creative practice include photography, cinematic arts and transmedia studies. He studied painting, photography, and sculpture in art school. After finishing his studies, Pontuti worked as a digital artist and creative director in San Francisco and Los Angeles, before founding his own fine arts production company, Studio P Inc. There he produced projects and editions for a variety of artists such as Paul McCarthy, Mike Kelly, Sharon Lockhart, Charlie White, and David LaChapelle. In addition, he produced photographic prints for people like Annie Leibovitz and Steven Klein. In 2017, he accepted the position as Chair of University of the Pacific’s MEDIA X program. He lives and works in Stockton, CA.
