MFA Program Reading Series Summer 2019 with Paige Ackerson-Kiely and Jennifer Militello

Paige Ackerson-Kiely is the author of three books of poetry, In No One’s Land (Ahsahta 2007), My Love is a Dead Arctic Explorer (Ahsahta 2012) and Dolefully, A Rampart Stands (forthcoming 2019, Penguin) and other works of poetry and prose. Poems have appeared in journals such as jubilat, Ninth Letter, Bellingham Review, Verse, and Copper Nickel. She’s received grants and fellowships from such places as Poets & Writers, Boomerang, Vermont Arts Council, and others. Paige lives in rural Connecticut, and works as the Associate Director of the MFA in Writing Program at Sarah Lawrence College.

Jennifer Militello is the author of Knock Wood, winner of the Dzanc Nonfiction Prize and forthcoming from Dzanc Books in 2019, A Camouflage of Specimens and Garments (Tupelo Press, 2016), called “positively bewitching” by Publishers WeeklyBody Thesaurus (Tupelo Press, 2013), named one of the best books of 2013 by Best American Poetry as well as the runner-up for the Poetry Society of America’s Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award, and Flinch of Song (Tupelo Press, 2009), winner of the Tupelo Press First Book Award. Her poems and nonfiction have appeared in American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review, The Nation, The New Republic, The Paris Review, Poetry, and Tin House.
