NEC Gala Celebrates the Opening of the John Lyons Center

NEC’s new academic center features design and technology to meet student learning needs today and for the future.

During New England College’s recent Fall Festival Weekend, the College hosted a gala event to celebrate the opening of its newest academic building, the John Lyons Center.

President of New England College, Dr. Michele Perkins, expressed the College’s profound thanks to those whose support made the building possible, and honored the debut of an academic learning center that will enhance New England College for decades to come.

The 19,000 square foot John Lyons Center hosts classes and supports student learning from majors and programs across campus and serves as the home of Management Division faculty. Ten classrooms deliver a full range of technology to support learning. The Learning Commons, an open two-story atrium space with a variety of seating and gathering options, andnumerous study and seminar rooms support academic group work, team projects, and study.
