NEC Welcomes Tom Raffio, CEO of Northeast Delta Dental
On Thursday, October 23 at 6:00 pm, New England College students and faculty will host Northeast Delta Dental Chief Executive Officer Tom Raffio for a community event. Continuing the 2014 President’s Speaker Series at New England College, Tom will speak on the topic of: Leadership – Critical Factors for Sustained Success. The public is invited to attend.
Tom was born and raised in Weston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University in 1978 and earned his Masters at Babson College in 1988. Working for Delta Dental Plan of Massachusetts to start up operations, he worked his way up to Senior Vice President after ten years’ service. In 1995, Tom moved to New Hampshire to become President & CEO of Northeast Delta Dental.

Tom received a Doctor of Humane Letters from New England College in 2010 and was named the Business Leader of the Decade by Business NH Magazine and the NH Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. In 1995 Tom and his team established the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation to improve access to, and the quality of, oral healthcare and education for residents and the dental communities in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. He has served on more than 20 not-for-profit boards and advisory councils. Tom is also co-author of There Are No Do-Overs: The Big Red Factors for Sustaining a Business Long Term. The book is written by Tom Raffio, Barbara McLaughlin, and Dave Cowens.

The event will be held in the Simon Center Great Room at 6:00 p.m., 98 Bridge Street in Henniker, New Hampshire. Seating will be available on a first come, first served basis. Media are welcome to this event.
