Apply for Admission, Anytime!
Apply to New England College when it works for you, anytime throughout the year. Your application and transcript will be reviewed upon receipt, and you can expect to receive your admission offer and scholarship information within approximately two weeks.

Application Process
Begin by completing the NEC Application or use the Common Application, whichever you prefer.
Once you are admitted, you can confirm your enrollment and accept your scholarship by submitting a $300 deposit.
Transfer Students
NEC is transfer-friendly! You can transfer up to 90 credits toward a bachelor’s degree at NEC. You will receive your transfer credit evaluation within two weeks of being accepted. There are also generous scholarships for transfer students.
International Students
New England College has a rich diversity of students from over 86 countries around the world. Apply to New England College early and qualify for an extra $2,000 scholarship, renewable each year, by following three easy steps.

Schedule a tour of NEC’s beautiful campus. - Submit FAFSA by January 1, 2027 | $500
Complete and submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning in October 2026. Be sure to select NEC (Code 002579). You’ll then receive your full financial aid award from NEC in the mail and email.

General Admission Requirements
These documents are reviewed for admission:
- Completed application for admission, including self-reported GPA. Complete either the NEC Application or the Common Application. If completing the Common App, simply select New England College so that NEC can receive your application.
- High school transcript (unofficial transcript accepted for admission, final official transcript required for enrollment)
- College transcript (for transfer students)
- Optional for all programs: standardized test (ACT or SAT) scores
If you take any college courses during high school, be sure to ask your high school to send your official transcript to NEC before enrollment so that the courses can be counted toward your degree.
International students should visit nec.edu/international for more information.
BS in Nursing Application Requirements
NEC Nursing completes a holistic admission review for every applicant. In addition to NEC’s general application requirements, nursing applicants must complete the following admission requirements
- Overall high school GPA (average 3.12 for admitted students, average 3.0 for admitted transfer students)
- Grades in college prep math, science, and English courses
- Two letters of recommendation
- Personal essay
- LNA Licensure is a plus
- TEAS, SAT, or ACT optional
- Interview optional or upon request
In addition to NEC’s general application and nursing admission requirements and to progress throughout the program, applicants must at their own expense:
- Hold or obtain a New Hampshire LNA license before the first cooperative experience
- Be and remain eligible for employment as an LNA at a partner institution
- Complete a criminal background check before first cooperative experience
BFA Portfolio Requirement
Applicants to New England College’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programs are required to submit a portfolio of 5–15 images of art and design work via SlideRoom. While you are welcome to submit your application without this initially, please note that a portfolio must be submitted before enrollment.
