Thank you for joining us at New England College. We can’t wait for you to arrive on campus, and work hard to create orientation experiences that aim to connect you to our campus. Preparing students to succeed is what we are all about at NEC!

NEWT – New England College Wilderness Trips
Pre-orientation wilderness trip for first-year students | August 19-22, 2019
Excited to get your college career started and meet new friends? Adventure Bound offers a NEWT program specifically for first-year NEC students. This program is run and led by our students who are trained in backpacking, wilderness medicine, facilitation, and leadership. NEWT is open to students of all abilities and is a great opportunity to enjoy the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. Students will spend one night in the NEC woods, and three days backpacking (averaging 3-6 miles a day).
Fall Orientation and Welcome Weekend
Incoming students (first year and transfer) who are not playing a fall sport will move onto campus on Friday, August 23, 2019. Orientation will take place Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25. Classes begin on Monday, August 26. New students who are commuting are also expected to participate in the fall orientation program. A complete schedule of events for the weekend will be available on August 1, 2019.
If you are an incoming student and playing a fall sport, you should contact your coach directly to find out your move-in date.
Welcome Weekend is an opportunity for the incoming class to get to know the campus, their peers, and the policies at NEC before starting the semester.
