International Students
International Admission Requirements
- Application (NEC or Common App)
- Submit proof of English proficiency through submission of TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, DuoLingo English Test results, or at least one year of study at the college level at a U.S. college or university and completion of two college level English courses with a grade of C or better. Athletes who do not meet our minimum English proficiency requirements will not be eligible to participate in athletics at NEC.
- Official secondary school transcript or records (with English translation if necessary).
- Completed Declaration and Certification of Finances Form. Instructions about how to complete the form can be found here. Bank statement or proof of sufficient funding equal to cost of attendance ($58,770 for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021) must be submitted with DCF form. Bank statement must be dated within nine months of the start of term.
- Classes will begin on August 24, 2020 for Fall 2020 & on January 11, 2021 for the Spring 2021 semester.

- To confirm enrollment, international students must submit a $300 enrollment deposit by May 1 for the Fall semester and by December 1 for the Spring semester. You can pay the enrollment deposit online with Flywire here or at nec.edu/deposit.
After confirming intent to enroll
- Complete the CSS PROFILE. NEC does not offer full scholarships that cover all of tuition, room and board and fees.
F-1 students transferring from a college/university within the United States must also submit the items below:
- Copy of visa
- Copy of I-94
- Copy of current I-20
